Advisory board
Essence project is endowed by an advisory board, composed of three external experts and of the internal evaluator (Alberto Stefanini). The board evaluates project results and gives advice on its further development.

- TIEGHI ENZO MARIA

- DENNIS KAY HOLSTEIN
He is managing partner for OPUS Consulting Group. He is very active in IEEE, IEC, ISA and CIGRE. Dennis is currently the Convenor for the development of IEC 62443-1-3 "System Cybersecurity Conformance Metrics" and for the development of CIGRE JWG B5-D2.46 "Application and Management of Cybersecurity Measures for Protection and Control Systems." . Dennis was the initial IEC TC65WG10's project lead for developing IEC 62443-2-4 "Certification of industrial automation control system (IACS) supplier security policies and practices." His technical expertise is system analysis and modeling needed to develop project technical requirements, test and demonstration plans and procedures, and commercialization plans. Dennis has published, and continues to publish, many papers and reports describing system analysis and modeling techniques, technical requirements and supporting rationale, and test methods to evaluate requirements and system performance.
- RAFAL MAREK LESZCZYNA
He is an assistant professor at Gdansk University of Technology, Faculty of Management and Economics. He holds the M.Sc. degrees of Computer Science and Business Management. In December, 2006 he earned a Ph.D. (with a distinction) in Computer Science, specialisation - Computer Security at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics of Gdansk University of Technology. Between 2004 and 2008 he worked in the European Commission Joint Research Centre, in the teams dealing with information security and the security of critical networked infrastructures. After his return to the university in 2008, from 2010 to 2012 he was seconded to the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), where among the others he was responsible for coordinating the studies related to the security of industrial control systems and smart grids. His professional interests focus on the security of information systems, information security of critical infrastructures, and the issues relevant to information security management.
- MOULINOS KONSTANTINOS
He is an expert in the network and information security (NIS) area. He is the manager of ENISA's smart grid security project. He has worked for more than 10 years as an information systems auditor and for two years he contacted ENISA as an expert in the area of critical information infrastructure protection (CIIP). Moulinos has been awarded a diploma in informatics, a master of science in information systems and a Ph.D. in privacy enhancing technologies. He has more than 20 peer-reviewed publications covering areas such as information and network security, CIIP, data protection and privacy-enhancing technologies. He has served the NIS area from various posts: as an Information Systems’ auditor on behalf of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA), as a security expert of ENISA (the European Network and Information Security Agency), as a scientist during his doctoral research, as a researcher involved in various NIS European projects, as an advisor participating in various technical committees and last but not least as a guest speaker at several seminars, public discussions and lectures. https://gr.linkedin.com/in/konstantinos-moulinos-97476018.
